Ever since their formation on 9-9-1999, D’espairsRay have gained a lot of attention in the indie scene. With band members HIZUMI (vocals), Karyu (guitar), ZERO (bass) and TSUKASA (drums), D’espairsRay bring a distinctive sound to the Visual Kei scene. With their unique visual concept and enigmatic and energetic live performances, D’espairsRay popularity began to rise on a international level. Performing abroad is not unfamiliar territory for D’espairsRay as they have performed on multiple occasions in Europe and North America. Most notably, D’espairsray was part of Rockstar’s Taste of Chaos Tour performing in 34 cities across North America, and in 2009, D’espairsRay participated in the first ever V-Rock Festival in Japan.
