More Information San Francisco 49ers Ronnie Lott and Harris Barton; entertainer MC Hammer, Olympic gold metal swimmer Natalie Coughlin and choreographers Jess Curtis, Joanna Haigood & Margaret Jenkins judge the 4th annual TOE TO TOE Competition, the showdown between ODC dancers and top Cal student-athletes to determine: Who’s the better athlete— dancers or sports stars? The members of ODC/Dance, San Francisco’s internationally acclaimed contemporary dance company, and top student-athletes at UC Berkeley go “toe to toe” for the fourth time to answer that vexing question. In the various tests of strength, speed, agility, and endurance, ODC has bested Cal two years out of three, leading many to believe that dancers have it over athletes. But this year, coming off their victory in Toe to Toe Round 3, Cal plans to stay on top with a line-up of some of its fiercest student-athletes. They will compete against the ODC dancers in a number of challenging events. The evening climaxes with Cal athletes and ODC dancers coming together in choreography à la ABC network’s “Dancing with the Stars.” This year’s team dances will showcase ODC with Cal Women’s Swimming and Volleyball, Men’s Water Polo and Women’s Soccer.
